British Sign Language (BSL) became a recognised language in its own right in March 2003. BSL is the first or preferred language of an estimated 87,000 Deaf people in the UK. BSL is a visual-gestural language, with its own grammar and principles, which are completely different from the grammatical structure of English.

EVENING COURSE – MARCH 2026: NOW FULL
Due to the popularity of our evening British Sign Language (BSL) Level 1 course, we are now offering a daytime course. Our courses are Signature accredited and taught by qualified, experienced profoundly deaf and native BSL users.
You will receive a qualification from Signature when you have completed the course and passed your assessments.
📅 Date: Tuesday 4th November 2025 – for approx 33 weeks
⏰Time: 10:00am – 12:00pm

🎫 Price: To secure your place, a non-returnable deposit of £150 to be paid by 30th September 2025, and the remaining balance of £358 by 31st October 2025. OR Pay the full amount £508 when securing your place, which includes the £150 non-returnable deposit.
